Fallax is Latin and short for Struthiopteris Fallax, an endemic fern that only grows by two hot springs in Iceland.

LE TEMPS DU MONSTRE

Dir. Benjamin Nuel

Year: 2023

Country: United States

Next to a nuclear power plant on the banks of the Rhône, a residential house becomes the starting point for a journey through time, from a familiar setting to a postindustrial era. Following the footsteps of a gentle monster that symbolises the river’s rebirth, viewers travel through different eras and discover another way of relating to the natural world. This dreamlike, interactive experience invites us to imagine new fictions and mythologies to learn how to coexist with the forces of nature.
